Samantha made the most beautiful bride. I really wish that Bridal sessions would be more popular honestly, I only do a couple a year and I wish almost all my brides did them. I’ve found that having these bridal shots done prior offer a couple things to my AMP brides. They get to see the entire look prior to the wedding day! — This is so important I think. We all have makeup and hair run-throughs–but I’m willing to bet money when we go see our makeup artist and hair stylist– we don’t put on a dress too! That dress can CHANGE EVERYTHING.  You might want your braid on the other side of your head, you might not like that lip color or eye color with your dress on. You might not like your earrings at all with the dress and decided to wear something different. (Lately, this has happened a lot and I’m seeing more and more brides have more options the day of *just in case*) and the last thing… flowers— you can get a mock bouquet. Which right there, can tell you if you need to change things up– make bigger, smaller, change out flowers or colors!– BRIDAL SESSIONS ARE WORTH IT!

AND let’s be honest… who doesn’t want an excuse to wear your dress TWICE?!?! I know I must have snuck into my guest room 2x a month to put mine on when I was planning my wedding!!

I was so excited to hang with Samantha again. Her Baltimore engagements were so perfect at Sherwood Gardens in the John Hopkins area of Baltimore. I couldn’t wait to see the dress she had picked out. She got her dress at Here & Now in Virginia Beach where her mom lives since she lives in New Jersey with her NOW husband James! I was simply obsessed with her dress. There was something old about the dress that matched Samantha perfectly. She comes from a theater background and I just thought it was a perfect fit. Her cap sleeves I must have swooned over the entire session! The bead work was so delicate and the way the cap sleeves just hung from the top of her shoulders was simply breathtaking!!! Her dress was satin and ya’ll — Satin is HEAVY!  The perfect chapel train and fingertip beaded veil to match just had me ready for her wedding! I loved shooting at the Historic Post Office. They have the perfect bridal suite. Such a classic location and if you guys know me at all, you know I’m the classic wedding photographer for the classic bride!!!
