Alyssa and Joe’s wedding was the perfect way to start the 2020 season. CoronaVirus or No CoronaVirus. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I remember when these two came and sat in my home office and we talked about their day. Joe is a reservist, a fisherman, and water was where their heart was for this day. Their wedding venue Conrad’s Ruth Villa was the perfect location for them in Middle River, Maryland. We talked about how it was waterfront, boat access, and were ear to ear smiling about it and how it just FIT THEM. It’s the one thing I always tell my couples. Find something that fits you. That speaks to you. It’s the same thing I say when we are talking about engagement locations. We had the BEST engagement session on the water as well. Check it out HERE.
Their day was originally set for May 2020, but clearly that didn’t happen. Honestly, I told them this go-round – That this day won! The weather was perfect, the light was incredible, and even though we got a little rain. I just felt like this was exactly the day they were supposed to have. Joe was able to come in on the boat as he wanted with his groomsmen in tow. Alysa’s dad walked her down the aisle and the two said I do under the most perfect old tree with the water as their backdrop. They shared laughs and tears as they slid their rings on and you could tell all they wanted to do was KISS! It was simply the perfect day. I was so glad to have been the one chosen to witness it!
Here’s to so many years of happiness you two!!! YOU did it!
