This Annapolis maternity session was extra special for me!!! Lauren and Brian were a 2018 AMP bride and I was so incredibly happy when I got to meet up with them again to photograph their upcoming bundle of joy!!! This sweet baby boy is going to have some amazing parents. I was really lucky to gain them as friends throughout the process of their wedding planning and we’ve even done double dates with our husbands since! Being that Lauren and my husband work in the same building, and we all share the love of food, and wine and good bourbon it was a slam dunk for us!!!! When the four of us met for dinner last, we talked ideas for the session and timing. Lauren and Brian wanted to do the maternity session in Annapolis and keep the water and the city in each picture. We headed to the Naval Academy for the first bit of the session, keeping things by the water. It was secluded and the day was PERFECT weather, which can be a challenge for summertime and pregnancy. Everything is generally 10 degree’s hotter for a pregnant mamma!! We headed to the downtown Main street are of Annapolis for the rest of the session. Fleet Street is a popular street thanks to the fantastic mural that’s been painted on the wall and then we just walked around a little more to find the perfect little quaint spots that spoke to us!
We talked all things babies of course. and food. I shared all kinds of funny stories about motherhood that I’ve experienced thus far and we talked about some of the things Lauren and Brian looked forward too as they were becoming parents. Lauren talked about her excitement of working with a Doula and I just loved that Brian was supportive of what she wanted! I can’t wait for this baby to come so I can meet him! We are crossing our fingers for me to photograph the delivery hopefully and I’m SOO excited for that!
