This Annapolis waterfront wedding has been a day I’ve been waiting for. I will never forget sitting with Roxy in my office a year ago, and seriously hugging her as she walked out the door feeling like I had a friend. Roxy was not only beautiful, and funny, but she had the biggest heart and it was like it was tattooed on her face. She’s was genuine and excited and she listened all while she sat on the edge of her seat on my office couch as we talked about her wedding day. You could tell she was hopelessly in love. The way she talked about Evan, the way she smiled. Roxy and I talked frequently through her planning, and half the time, it had nothing to do with her wedding. Sure, getting married in a private neighborhood of Sherwood Forrest was a priority for her and I. The perfect pictures, the perfect schedule, making sure the details were exactly how she wanted them. But we found ourselves, complimenting our daily Instagram outfits, Venmo’ing each other $5 to buy coffee on days were she saw my husband was traveling and the girls were on my last nerve or planning Orange Theory work out dates in the future!!! She’d became a friend with the best friend line evvvver… she’s always start her texts to me “hey HONNNNAAAAY” She is a delight and I KNOW Evan thanks his lucky stars he landed him a girl like Roxy!!!! (We’ve even talked like every 2 days on her HONEYMOON via Instagram or text about how we can’t believe her day is over…. but I keep sending her sneaks to remind her while she’s across the world that it was the BEST day ever!!!!
Her dream was to get married in the neighborhood she grew up in, a private one in Annapolis right off the Severn River. We did their engagement session there. They showed me around where the ceremony was going to be and drove me past the clubhouse where the Reception would be. It was quaint, meaningful and romantic. Exactly Evan and Roxy’s style. Her blush bridesmaid dresses, the beautiful florals, her GORGEOUS bridesmaids (omg they were all like Movie Stars!!!). All the guys wore the perfect Navy suits. It was a waterfront dream!!! Roxy walked down the aisle that started at two teal doors, opened to the love of her life. Her dad walked down next to her holding on tight as Evan did his best to wipe a tear away. Roxy’s dress was perfection and I’m pretty sure I heard a couple awe’s coming from the guests as she made her way to the end of the aisle. She was a blonde vision, her hair perfectly left down with simple braids and a veil falling down her back. They promised a lifetime of laughter, tennis and love in their own vows read out of His and Her books. They poured unity sand and said I DO in front of the most important people in their lives. Ya’ll. I’ve said it before but I’m the LUCKIEST gal around!!!! I get to witness all these forevers by the most incredible couples and this one started in Annapolis right by the water for this couple. It was perfection!!!!
The reception was beautiful, with custom floral walls designed for her, a candy table with donuts, a dinner that was DELISH and the neighbors shot off some fireworks for them at the end!!!! The party went way longer than I was there for but I can say I witnessed quite the night!!!!
