I’ve never been to Big Cork Vineyards before. It wasn’t even supposed to be the venue Danielle and Phil got married at. But, like everything this year, COVID-19 tried to rule the world. But Danielle and Phil had other plans. It might not have been the day they planned, filled with hundreds of their friends and family, but it personally, I think it was better. Danielle and Phil took the new “micro-wedding” idea and ran with it. Phil and Danielle and I have something big in common. Our love for WINE. When Covid changed things up and required their guest list to become smaller than they had ever expected, they decided to push their “BIG celebration” to 2021 and decided to spend the day they planned doing exactly what they had planned. Getting Married but with the most FANTASTIC, SPECIAL, MOST INCREDIBLE PEOPLE IN THEIR LIVES. Their closest family. I got to spend the day before my 40th birthday with them and it was everything I had anticipated it to be. Intimate, joyous, laid back, and MEMORABLE.
Danielle wanted to wear her layers of glittered tulle and fabric and she wanted Phil to remember 11-14-20 as the day they became husband and wife, despite a year of hardships. So that’s what they did. This wedding at Big Cork Vineyards was fantastic. This chic location was the perfect intimate area. They rented out the Big house on the property and it practically a MANSION!! I told Danielle and Phil I wanted to soak in the master tub because it’s what dreams were made of! We just had the best day! I felt like a guest, not the staff. We laughed and I can’t even begin to explain the LIGHT we got for romantics. With the high treeline by the main house, I was nervous the light would leave us quickly. Daylight savings had already happened already but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The fall leaves were turning and falling, the light seeped through the branches and made the most incredible romantics for us. With TWO cameras on me, I was my own second shooter and I LOVED it. Being able to be in control of my creativity is my favorite. I felt like the day unfolded beautifully. I couldn’t have been happier for these two love birds. They have known each other their entire lives, never thinking they would end up married. But it was the match their parents prayed for, and the beginning of the rest of their lives that Danielle and Phil could have only have dreamed of.
VENUE list to come! Today, I share a beautiful Thanksgiving Day blog! I’m wishing everyone that reads this the most incredible day spending it with family and being grateful for the little things that we’ve been given. Hug those that you can do safely, pray for those that are alone and pray for this world. That this crazy life of living in a Pandemic ends soon and we can do things bigger and even more fantastic next year!
