A classic bride and a dapper groom.
I think every wedding this year I’m eager for! 2017 Brides are filled with creativity, class and they are all unique in their own ways! Lauren and Dave’s Romantic and Luxe and VERY classic feel was no exception! Lauren and I chatted over coffee the first day we met. When Crystal from Cherry Blossom Planning Factory called me and said “I’m sending a bride your way, she said “CLASSIC” about 8 times when she described her day, and I knew she HAD to talk to you!” I knew Lauren was my girl. We talked wedding stuff, and then found ourselves talking more about our addiction to LOFT clothes, our love for pearls. We had tons in common and I just love when brides and I click in so many more ways than just wedding talk! Lauren talked about her Blush, romantic inspired wedding and Dave seemed just as interested which was always so refreshing! They decided to have a small wedding party. Just Lauren’s sister and Dave’s best friend. Simple yet completely classic. Dave had The Black Tux suit him and his groomsmen in dapper classic black tuxedoes. Lauren’s romantic gown from Ava Clara was covered in lace and had the best open back. It was perfectly classic to match her diamond earrings and her GORGEOUS Badgley Mischka wedges which were PERFECT for a grassy and outdoor wedding! I remember Lauren talking about her love for Peonies and her day was FILLED with whites ones with subtle champagne florals.
I feel like Lauren took all the things that were in the Bridal Guide that every Amanda Manupella Bride gets’s and implemented them! The blush Mrs. Box with a rose gold embroidered T on it. (The perfect heirloom for your children one day if you ask me!!) swatches of material, the classic invitations…. she was READY!!! Even though there was some rain prior to their first look, the skies seemed to know that Romantics and Bridal Party photos were to follow because they cleared up and we never saw a drop after that for their outdoor ceremony!!! When you do a first look, you get sometimes DOUBLE the romantic picture time!!! Sometimes after a ceremony, there’s only and hour left to fit in family formals, bridal party formals AND romantics so adding this time in before your ceremony is the PERFECT addition to your schedule! We had Liz from the NBG drive us around and I found some of the most quaint spots for us to stop including my favorite little mossy area!! The ceremony was perfection in the Renaissance Courtyard, with Cocktail hour overlooking the Statuary Vista (one of my favorite locations!) and a string quartet played as the Classic Lauren walked down the aisle with her father to the love of her life. Those last moments are my favorite for a bride to experience. That time where she grabs on to the first love of her life; her dad, and walks for the last time as a Salmon. The Reception was perfection with uplighting from Stage Right in blush and champagne. Lauren picked out the best clear hammered chargers, with hammered flatware for her guests to eat off of. The smell of sugar from her cake and cupcakes flowed from a corner of the room (and made me very hungry all night but a plated dinner by my FAVORITE Chef by Design fixed that) and the closest friends and family danced the night away with Bobby from Hey DJ at the front of the room in charge of the music! I simply LOVED everything about the Rose Garden Room at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens and I can’t wait to shoot there again! It’s one of my favorite classic outdoor venues!!
