I just LOVED Meadowlark Botanical Gardens right outside of D.C. for Monica and Joe’s engagements!!! It was the perfect picturesque spot for them! You know when you talk to people you’ve just met and you walk away from the conversation and just feel all filled with passion??? Well, being a wedding photographer I PRAY that every couple that books me gives me that feeling and well, when they hang up, I tell them they should be EXCITED and fueled with the same passion and LITERALLY can’t imagine their day without me… THAT’S how you know if you’re a good fit. Monica and Joe were exactly those people. We talked for at LEAST two hours over Facetime. They took their photographer booking seriously. They had lots of GREAT questions and had LOTS of GREAT reasons why photography was IMPORTANT to them. To say that it didn’t make me OVERLY pumped when they chose to book me is an understatement. We had the same idea’s. The same taste and I LOVE Orange, Virginia. They are getting married at The Inn at Willow Grove, which is a luxury boutique hotel in Central Virginia right in the heart of Orange, VA!
We spent the evening walking around Meadowlark, talking and laughing. I couldn’t get enough of them. They brought their two rescue dogs and of course Ring Pops… See, Joe proposed to Monica using a ring pop…. yes, a ring pop! Imagine, the love of your life popping the question, opening the ring box to find a ring pop inside! But with a quick slide of hand, and a “are you serious, you can’t do that to me…” Joe pulled out the right ring and asked his “honeybunny” to spend forever with him… for REAL. I even got to see the video!!! My job NEVER gets’s old you guys. It NEVER EVER does. The weather was absolute perfection. The sun was shining, the breeze was present and Monica had the perfect outfits picked out!!! Shooting in the D.C. area is so great. 45 minutes to an hour in the car and my own bed to sleep in. PERFECTION.
Just like these two.
